Re: Interim Principal
Mr. Leonard Frierson, Principal, started a temporary leave of absence today. To maintain the learning and operations of Wood Elementary, there will be an interim principal during his absence. Ms. Mary Brooks, currently the district’s Director of Parenting and Early Childhood Coordinator, will be serving in this position and will be operating with all the duties and responsibilities of an elementary school principal.
Ms. Brooks is familiar with the students, families, and community of Wood Elementary having previously served as an educator and assistant principal prior to moving to the Community Education Center. We are very much looking forward to Ms. Brooks’ time at Wood and are thankful for her commitment to the stakeholders of Wood Elementary School.
