Lexington Two will start 2021-22 school year with 5-day face-to-face learning

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Lexington Two Superintendent Dr. Nicolas Wade announced the district’s intent to return to five-day face-to-face instruction to start the 2021-22 school year.

During the March 23 monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Wade noted the steady increase of requests from families of current Lexington Two Virtual Academy students to return to full-time in-person instruction, attributing the trend to vaccine availability and return to work for many area residents.

Planning is under way for the new school year, including decisions on start/end times, health and safety protocols, and the direction of the Virtual Academy. Details will be communicated in the spring and summer months.

The 2021-22 school year is scheduled to start on Monday, August 16.
